Each year, the Guidelines team makes at least one ministry trip to the Philippines. Our international ministry started in the Philippines decades ago and Guidelines ministry has been growing ever since.
We’ll be in the Philippines for the next two weeks, and we’re so excited to see what God will do this year! We have a fast-paced and full schedule of ministry ahead of us.
One of the main reasons we’re going is to dedicate a new Community Radio Station that we helped plant in Tacloban. Five years ago, Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippine island of Leyte. In the wake of the disaster, Guidelines helped setup a “First Response” radio station that broadcast critical emergency information and messages of comfort.
Over the years, that radio station continued to share useful information and messages of hope with the community. This week, we celebrate the dedication of 97.5 DYFE, now an official FM station!
Our speaking and teaching team will also hold conferences and seminars in the capital city of Manila to help people deepen their faith. We’ll be sharing about the Holy Spirit, thriving as women, and marriage and parenting lessons.
We’ll also be visiting our local Guidelines missionaries who do incredibly impactful work in planting churches, caring for children, and meeting the needs of the poor.
It’ll be a whirlwind of a trip and we are anticipating God to do great things while we are there.
