This Is Why You Should Put Your Trust In God

Speaker:

Bernadette longed for a child. If you’ve ever been in her shoes, you totally understand what she was experiencing. Eventually she became pregnant but, sadly, at the same time, her husband was battling what turned out to be terminal cancer.  The good part to her story is that before her husband passed away, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

About four years went by after her husband’s death, and Bernadette remarried. Laza had won her heart, and soon with much joy, Bernadette became pregnant again. When contractions finally began, she wondered if she would have to have a Caesarean section as she did with her first child. An even bigger concern was that blood tests showed Bernadette had contracted Group B strep, meaning that it would be critically important that she get antibiotics four hours before delivery or her baby’s life would be in danger.

Suddenly her contractions speeded up to once a minute, and there was no time for any trip to the hospital. Very soon Laza helped deliver their baby boy. The possibility of the baby contracting Bernadette’s infection? That was amazingly prevented when he was born with the amniotic sac completely intact, which kept him safe inside—something that happens only once in every 80,000 births!  A baby “born in a baggy!”

The Bible says, “My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19 ESV). Got big needs today? God knows our needs even before we do. And remember, God is still in the miracle-working business. If He can do what He did for Bernadette, He can meet your need as well. Right now, hand your need over to God. Put your trust in the God who can do the impossible—for you!
