They’re Coming from Everywhere
And people will come from all over the world—from east and west, north and south—to take their places in the Kingdom of God. Luke 13:29
When Sara first came to understand that Jesus is God, she thought that she was the only person in her entire country to follow Jesus. She even baptized herself with a cup of water.
If you’re a follower of Jesus, imagine for a moment that you don’t know anyone else who knows Jesus as the One and Only God. Millions of people find themselves in this position–because one out of every three people alive haven’t heard of Him.
But wherever you are, if you’re the only Jesus follower in your family, your workplace or classroom, you may feel alone…but you’re not! The Bible says that God’s Kingdom is going to fill up: “And people will come from all over the world—from east and west, north and south—to take their places in the Kingdom of God” (Luke 13:29). God’s family is growing and it’s spreading out: “In 1900, 95 percent of all Christians lived in a majority Christian country. In 2022, that number has fallen to 53.7 percent. By 2050, most Christians around the world will live in a non-majority Christian nation.”[1]
Imagine heaven for a moment: multitudes of people from everywhere on earth– all the glorious colors, features and voices of God’s creativity, united in adoration of Jesus. Think about that when it feels lonely to follow Him.
Scripture says, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).
New believer, Sara, found fellow Jesus followers and now joyfully invites others into the Kingdom.
