In parts of the Philippines, people are living in a state of physical and spiritual conflict.
Earlier this year, ISIS took hold of a city on the island of Mindanao, prompting a several month battle between the Philippine army and the extremist militants.
Despite having defeated ISIS, the government has declared martial law on the region through the end of year.
Both Christians and Muslims have experienced persecution at the hand of Islamic extremists. But in the midst of conflict, Jesus is peace.
We’re teaming up with our broadcast partner FEBC Philippines and a local ministry to bring peace to the region through our Community Radio Project. A new radio station will be established in Mindanao that will reach 2.5 million people. These radio programs will focus on community development, education and literacy, peace-building, and most important of all, sharing about the hope we have in Jesus.
Even in the darkness of violence and wars, the peace of Jesus will shine through brightly. God will strengthen Christians under persecution, while He pours out His love on Muslims to draw them to Himself.
We are taking an unprecedented stand on this battlefield to declare a peace that surpasses all understanding – the peace of Jesus Christ our Savior. Will you join us?
